“I give you a new commandment: love one another; you must love one another just as I have loved you” (John 13:34)
We are united in the desire to bring the Gospel alive for others. This is concretely expressed within living community life. We know everyone has something to contribute and something to learn from each other. We come together each day to pray, to listen to the Lord and each other, to plan, discuss, differ, laugh and to forgive each other.
Hospitality flows out of community. In the preparation of meals, washing, cooking, cleaning, we are preparing the way to invite all to sit at the dinner table. Here life’s joys and sorrows are shared, and all are invited to just be themselves.
We are reminded by St. Peter that:
“Each one of you has received a special grace, so like good stewards responsible for all the varied graces of God, put it at the service of others. (1 Peter4:10)
